i think the job sucked. you'd be all alone, dragging engines, transmissions from the trailer to inside the storage shed, or the building, taking the cores, and putting them in the trailer. then they have huge cages, cannot recall the exact name, filled with all sorts of auto parts, that you exchange for empty ones.
the job i "tried out" had a 2 wheeler, NOT a pallet jack! good luck i said to myself dragging engines and transmissions with that, in the rain, snow, and ice.......screw that
i told them to shove the job.Speed_Drums Thanks this. -
I don’t wanna sound negative but neither of those jobs seem to pay enough - especially when factoring in taxes, health, retirement plans

UPS is harder to come by with an opening. schneider constantly hires people, they will alway have ports. UPS from what i know is hourly, schneider is not. The night work does mess with ur sleep cycle but don't let that mess with you since you can probably transfer shifts later down the line. if you dont like the job you can quit and schneider will still take you.

Imho Schneider is pretty much dead end. What you see is what you get...
Lonesome Thanks this. -
So I am still waiting for ups to start, but meanwhile schneider is offering dedicated daily home job. And now I dont know what to do.
Ups is night job, schneider are now offering me day job.
Less money with schneider, but sleeping during the nightand no touch

UPS night job and unloading with 1100-1300 weekly and benefits after 30 days
Schneider day job, sleeping during the night with 950-1050 weekly and benefits after 90 days
I really dont know what to do, but I need to change my job, because my actual job is not offering benefits, and they pay sucks... -
Go for the money now and keep looking for the niche that suits your needs. -
UPS and here's why......
Its hourly. Things f up here and there, not my problem, still on the clock.
Schneider its however many cans you pull. Whole thing goes to hell in a day, how many cans did you pull?
None?
Well that's how much you get paid.
As a disclaimer, I pull OTR for Schneider. And I'm as happy as a clam.
But, when you start talking about piece work, you loose me.
Hourly, UPS. 100%
