Just wanted to find out the pros and cons of pulling a hopper. I've been OTR about 3 yrs, and pulled a van and drop deck. Is a hopper a PIA?

Looking into a regional job where I live pulling a hopper (dog food, fertilizer, feed, etc).

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance:biggrin_25515:.

Hoppers are easy, its almost always a more or less straight pull through to unload. Biggest worry is it's easy to get loaded overweight but you always scale out and don't let them BS you that it won't hurt anything to run heavy, weights and measures just love's to check hoppers.

That was my other Q, how easy is it to be overweight? Not a silo-hopper, but a covered wagon, looking, hopper?

Very easy to be overloaded. I worked the scales the year before I started driving, and they do push you to run overloaded.
