I pull a 53’ conestoga, and the trailer never leaves the truck. Would mounting a dipole antenna inside (or out, for that matter) the canvas work? I do okay now (Peterbilt 389, dual Predator 10Ks, Galaxy DX-98VHP), but am about to buy a new truck (probably a Freightliner New Cascadia) that is known for not being CB friendly. If not a dipole in the trailer, what is the best option? I shoot skip frequently, and talk on 38 lsb when not driving, and 19 AM when I am. I am also working on my technician ham license, so would like to be as Broad band as possible.

Thanks in advance for your help!

This could be plausible but there is a lot of better options if you are referring to 11 meter operation. A dipole running the length of the trailer would be horizontally polarized, this would work ok for "skip" but not worth a crap talking to someone 10 miles down the road. What do you mean by "not cb friendly"?

I mean that it is known to have bad coax, bad mounting locations, and is difficult to achieve good radio performance. It’s a Freightliner New Cascadia.

Heavy duty Wilson Mount for 2017 and newer Cascadia. Four bolt antenna bracket, 6 foot skip shooter tilted about 15 degrees. 18 feet of coax at most. Radio grounded to the battery post that is frame grounded. Tune antenna to 1.2 1.3 ish. While not a broadbanded antenna, it performs very well in DX and that setup will get you around 1% reflect on a bird 43.

Missed the part where you have dual 10k’s. Some people like the long shaft 27” predator’s tilted a little. You can always buy just the shaft and swap it out and try a single 10k. Skip shooters are about $28 so it’s not too expensive an experiment, but they do hear skip well.

Broadbanded antennas and efficiency don't generally go together. The more narrow banded the antenna the more efficient the antenna will be.
As the bandwidth of the antenna decreases, the Q should increase.

7 foot skip shooter seems to work fairly well on the door Mount of the Cascadia
