BTC!!! LMAO, been there, done that. First off I'd like to know your definition of "side of the road". I would tend to think that if your trainer went on home time, this doesnt mean he left you and the truck nowhere around any civilization!!.....I hope. This is what we do bud. We cant always shut down at a Pilot. And yes, you'll get a low battery warning and then the truck will shut off. Just start and idle for a few. No harm, no foul. Safe trip & Happy trails :biggrin_255:

You need to change what that trainer will do. Talk with him and let him know you are not ok with what he did. If you get nasty feedback then go to Swift and let them know what he did and ask for a different trainer. I wouldn't trust that trainer with any power over my career so be real careful.

You can run the truck like you said and you shouldn't have any problem except for maybe the law. I would try to get some sleep and only use battery lights to read. There might be some questions asked by your company on why the truck was at idle for so long. Then be prepared for your trainer to screw you over. CYA because I have a feeling you'll need records to protect yourself. The trainer is the problem not you.
