I started going into the Bronx in the late 80s when the south Bronx had been left for dead and burnt out buildings and junk cars all over he'll was the norm . Its a much better place now .
Yea it ain't to bad now. I'm much more fimiliar with queens and long Island tho. Can't tell you how many times I've been to long Island (my dad grew up there and my grandma lived there till she moved a few years back. Westbury near Levittown. And before you ask, yes.) and queens. Been to shea and city field more times then I can count.
My wife was born in Nassau County, Long Island. She still has a bro with a summer house in Levittown. She was actually BORN in Queens (Jamaica). Her dad had a deli in the Bronx, back in the day. I normally don't go along when she goes to visit, LoL~! She sure knows her way around there, tho. (not in a rig, LoL..... yet.)
It's the only place I'd live if I wanted to live in new york. Love westbury. Plus with what my grandfather did back in the day.... I got friends there. Let's just leave it at that.
My grandpa did liquor distribution in nyc back in the 60s and 70s. I'm sure you can imagine who he knew. Not that anyones still breathing
I'll be honest. I really miss going out to long island. This summer I'm gunna have to take a few days and ride down there.
I delivered the store fixtures for the sports authority store in Westbury when it opened ..came from lozier Corp in Omaha .
