So I got a groove about half inch wide outer edge of brake drum it is another and concave all the way around. I would assume this is a dot violation?

OK called TX DOT they said that the drums could be found subject (not sure what that means) and a citation COULD be written for them they also made sure to mention that if involved in an accident even though it's not a violation that I and company could be held liable if accident was attributed to inadequate braking due to the brake drums. I have relayed this info to safety and breakdown Wich safety Manager agrees and wants it fixed breakdown is giving me the run around and said to wait till morning and let Laredo shop LOOK at it.
    Opinions?
