Quick story and question at the end.

All I'm saying is everybody deserves a shot. In your scenario we all know who doesn't get the job and that's fine. The bars a little higher for them folks but they just have to work harder is all.

 

i agree that the rules today are absolutely ridiculous and though you and i know better , they were showing off and didn't think about cameras and such. Now they know better , but to get canned and have to find another job cause of that seems harsh . ( when i got my cdl back in 95 , i showed my mom , dad, brothers and sisters what i could do and gave them all a ride and also let my brother drive around the block .) . But now a days you can't do that and instead of warning them and maybe a short suspension , they get canned and have a black mark on there individual employment history that could of been handled differently.

 

Most likely this is an issue because of insurance so think of it like this. If you owned a business and spent allot of money and time to get it going and the insurance company said you are not allowed to let non registered people drive your vehicles and if caught doing so we will terminate your coverage. If this situation was presented to you, can you actually say heck ya, let's risk it all and let non registered people drive or would you in fact do as this company did and terminate the driver. I don't know about you but if it were my call, I would terminate him on the spot.
