To sum up.... on his way out the door, a driver stuck it to a company that likely has stuck it to thousands of drivers on countless occasions in countless ways... boo ####ing hoo!

I've quit 3 trucking jobs in 9 years. First one was at May, I called the OCM and told her I needed to get off the 48 and had accepted an offer with a regional company.

She was sweet as could be. I delivered my load the next day, dropped the truck & trailer off, cleaned out my truck and said goodbye.

The company I went to work for had a jerk of a dm. He tried to screw me out of pre-arranged hometime around Thanksgiving. I told him to shove it, dropped off the truck & trailer in their yard, tossed the keys on his desk and went to work for another regional company 4 days later. I found out later that the jerk's company wrote in my DAC, "will not rehire". Big whoop, I didn't plan on going back to work for them again anyways LOL.

The third time was when I decided to go to work for myself, the BEST job I've ever had, my boss is wonderful ;-) I don't plan on quitting him anytime soon either.
