There's containers out of Gulfport , you could go out and back in a couple days , or everyday. I'd check into that , might be a better fit
Then i mean no offense by this, but until you have someone else that depends on you who you deeply care for, You won't understand
If you can make 6 months, you have a better chance of finding a home every day job in the Gulfport region. If you hate it as much as you say...then do what you have to do. This grind aint for everyone.
Out of curiosity, what don't you like about OTR? Maybe you can find ways to ease the burden. Lack of human interaction? Get a CB and start warning other truckers about traffic conditions and law enforcement activities. Boredom? Try some audiobooks, get a hotspot and stream Pandora or a documentary, &c. Nothing to do during downtime? Satellite TV, videogames, youtube movies &c. I've got a whole videogaming system I can set up in my truck in about a minute. Two folding tables, a state-of-the-art Alienware laptop hooked to a 31 inch monitor, a full size keyboard and mouse arrayed comfortably like on a desk at home, wireless internet hotspot for online dukes. DVD player for movies and shows &c. It can also help to get good at daydreaming. I used to have a car with no radio or anything, which I had to drive long distances. Nothing but the sound of the motor and the wind, so I was forced to learn to entertain myself with my own thoughts. It might seem like it sucks but the world is a much bigger place now. Just a thought.
5 to 10 in federal prison. I am kidding of course. Find a yard jockey position. 8 to 12 hours a day. Home every day. Get sleep in your own and actually have a life. That is what I do. I found a great place. Good luck.
I understand that but from my perspective I don't have people like that in my life so my thoughts are why am I forcing myself to do this? Just to pay some bills?
