Check with Knight. They have a terminal down there. They may have some local or regional.

i couldnt stand OTR either. you have to find your niche. i have been driving large tandem dump trucks for a while, i work for a company called serafini construction. usually i dont mind my job, some days like today i really enjoy it. something to be said about driving when its 65 degrees and sunny. perfect.

only problem is, this is not the time of year to be seeking that type of work. my company has been working me steady but even if they keep me going all winter, they likely would not add any new drivers this late in the season. they do have some winter work, but not enough to justify adding more drivers.

from my perspective, if you have a family you have to think about them. i have a 6 yr son, a wife of 13 years, and another child on the way. i have my own home, dogs, ect ect. in order for me to WANT to drive OTR i would have to be getting wealthy from it. otherwise forget it. i will go to work in the AM, come home the same day.... with a smile on my face, and still use my CDL and be part of the industry.

I hate otr but my family needs me.

You should look into local stuff in MS. Nothing pays as quick as trucking legally that I know of. If its not really for you. Then bite your tongue and save up to do your plan B and C.

I think you sign the contract during your interview. I believe Prime will chase you for the money if you leave early.

i too hate it when people use letters, rather than the actual wordings.

    Urban Dictionary: MGTOW

Many companies hire regional and dedicated lanesfar as local, that might be ify most require at least a year exp but sometimes that's subject to change depending how your driving and overall record is.
