Straight up they lied and wanted me to run illegal. I didn’t but just the fact they would push like that and put my record at risk.
Today would have been my last day of orientation.

On to the next. They won’t care if you quit, so neither should you.
BigDog Trucker Thanks this. -
That’s only if you were paid.
If you were never paid, you never worked there.BigDog Trucker Thanks this. -
When did FMCSA ever care about pay? One is hired when the company says one is hired. Usually that includes orientation.
-
Any company I’ve ever talked to has always stated you are not hired until you finish orientation.
If it’s a job the moment you arrive then you are owed wages for every day if orientation -
Again, what regulation states that? Here's a hint. There isn't one.
-
walk where?
-
how did you know before the end of orientation? that they wanted you to not follow hos?
-
It’s not about HOS it’s about false logs. They wanted me to run without setting me up on the ELD.
The exemption is 150air miles. I would have been running well over that. -
OK. you said your orientation is driving 12 days at $150/per day. I said, is it orientation or training ? Any orientation I ever attended was processing the new hire in plus a road/wee-wee test. At the end of orientation you will roll off the lot in a truck and you are officially hired. Until you sign paperwork, you are not hired. I suppose one could argue just exactly when am I hired ? Is it when I get my physical back or when I sign my W-4 form or when I climb abord my new 2021 Pete with shiny new rims? Luck to ya'
