i guess what i am saying is there is no respect anymore from employers, but they expect and demand it themselves. yes there are still some good ones out there but the vast majority stink like yesterday's trash. i was not a sub par employee. i was at work on time everyday without fail. they had a personal problem with the fact that i used nicotine, a legal non intoxicating substance. in fact they told me to quit vaping, and quit consuming sugar. they went above and beyond to make my life hell. they would have expected me to leave them a notice had i left on my own, frankly they do not value their people and i hope that anyone that quits there in future gives them no such pleasure as a two week notice. they were the most unprofessional jerks i ever had the displeasure of working for. i hope that when i retire i look back at them as the worst and i never have to work with anyone as bad as them.
my work was well above standard and the milk truck drivers loved it when i showed up. it meant that they werent going to sit around. in fact if i so desire after i have the necessary MVR experience, a truck driver position with one of the haulers that brought milk into the plant will be a forgone conclusion. i personally unloaded one of the hauler's owners and he said the only thing preventing him from hiring was the lack of MVR experience. he said come back and talk to him when i have over a year in. he said my work ethic was outstanding, i called him after i got my CDL.

If that one youtuber abandoned a truck and still gets hired, from the sounds of it youll be okay (if as others said try to deliver load before quitting)
-
However, it appears this driver is a long way off that course and he likes to make spontaneous decisions out of frustration and emotions... so it is not like he is plotting a course here... he just wants to stay a float and drift along... -
Something tells me even if the OP delivers the load he isn't getting paid for it.

These corporations will let you go (Fire You) on the spot, regardless of your situation. If you feel you have a better option, take it!
I spoke to a guy this morning that was with a company for 16 years. He says they called a bunch of employees into a conference room, and told them all, they were let go. Companies don't give a #### about you. Do YOU. Remember that bro. -
