Aha. I'd have to unlock the phone to allow that. It's too annoying to allow it to do that on it's own. I use it to read books and I'm not always upright when I read. Thanks.

That's one reason I love my Iphone7. Two quick swipes and I can turn auto rotate on and off. I'm not sure if that can be done in android. However, that's not a large problem for me. I am homebound and use my newly built desktop dual 20' monitor system. My iPhone 7 is mostly for talking on the phone and listening to music.

Yea, It's easy to lock/unlock. On my phone I just need to turn it and a rotate button pops up down by the other three buttons. To do it for more than that 'session', just pull down the menu and tap the rotate loc button.

Its easy to do, just never do it as I never use landscape mode. Well sometimes a full screen video which it auto rotates even locked, which is nice.

Seems like an awfully long time to be at least somewhat unhappy with your choice of career.

In life, stuff usually happens for a reason.

I think I would call the new job and explain your situation and tell them that you would like to give your present employer a chance to dispatch you back to their only terminal. Ask if they would hold the job for you. They would have to be a fool not to. But if they won’t, you might not want to go there.

the money was better, the work hours in later years were reduced, the micro-management of someone over my shoulders was nil.

anymore questions on my personal choices? like how i like my coffee?? what do i like in the running shoes i buy?? how many truckers does it take to screw in a light bulb..???

Sure, I'm always interested in what we all do during the rest of our lives. Makes for interesting conversation, IMHO.

Trick question - truckers don't know how to screw in a light bulb.

NO NO! Truckers don't screw in light bulbs. They debate how to do it, then, later on, ask a mechanic to do it for them, and then complain about how the job is done!
