Not much information about R.E. West on this site. I will be starting there on Feb. 4th and will try to keep everyone posted about the company and how it goes.

Here’s what I have so far.

they have no contract or non compete, if you leave before the timeline they ask that you pay back the $85 for their DOT Physical.

R.E. West seems to be whats best for me right now. Small company, CDL class of 4-8 people (4 start at a time) which would mean more one on one learning/teaching.

They have no contract or non compete, the only thing is if you leave before the 6 months they ask that you pay back the $85 for their DOT Physical and any sign on bonus. You’re paid during your training ($300/wk. during classroom then $500/wk. while out with a trainer) and they do all of the BG, MVR checks etc. beforehand so that no one is wasting each other’s time. Van starts at .36cpm after training with 4 reviews within the first year with a potential .01 cpm raise at each review to put you at .40 cpm within the year. (That’s for van, flatbed may be more)
All trucks are 2 years and newer mostly autos but they train and test with a manual.

I got a good vibe when I was there from everyone met.
I will start training at the beginning on Feb. 4 after my current job ends and will update as it progresses. Feel free to ask any questions of things I may have missed and I’ll try to answer them.

I'll be doing regional dryvan home weekly. They have OTR and I seen pics of guys out west but I'm not sure of the details. Best to call and ask about that.

I don't know if this answers you question or not but they told me a couple weeks ago that they hire from the lower 48 states. I asked because I am learning that not a lot of companies have locations in the Phoenix area, and I was pleased to learn that they have a yard here. I hope that helps
