Unless it has changed. I believe it’s .40 cpm after the OTR portion of the training and you get into your on truck. There is also no tarping on the flatbed side so thats a plus.

Correct. You would do two weeks training on the yard. Then you would take your CDL test. Once you pass that you would go on the road with a trainer from Van side or flatbed side. Whichever you chose when you applied. Then once the trainer releases you, you would get into your own truck.

The flatbed side isn’t the correct term. We have stepdecks, RGN (removable goose neck) and 5,6,7 and 11 axle lowboys all of which haul mostly oversize loads. As far as I know, You would start on step deck and work your way up. With that said. You might not always pull a step deck. You might pull that for a load the a couple days later pull an RGN.

Your welcome. There a lot of information about RE West and the training on my YouTube channel including a Q and A video I did with one of the trainers. Just search Drummer to Driver on YouTube. Hope that helps.

They probably stopped because the current economic conditions. Look around at different company websites right now and see how they’ve pulled back. Many of them had chat with the recruiter instantly, CDL training, etc etc lately the only one I’ve seen with instant chat recruiter is Schneider. Many others have taken the option away. Recruiters have stopped replying to potential drivers etc.
