There are better choices out there than RL. If you have experience and clean record try to get on with OD, Estes, or Saia (saia has driver facing cameras though). If youre needing experience go ahead and try RL, after a year try to get on with someone who pays better.

What's current pay for R&L linehaul?
-
RL pays a flat rate for a given run..I've heard it equals out to around low to mid .50s CPM.
Not very good. The better LTL companies will start you off in the mid .50s CPM and top out will be in the mid .60s CPM depending on the company. -
Nope. It’s more like 70 cpm at R+L. My husband and I run team linehaul. We gross over $2000 each per week. After taxes/deductions we bring home over $3000/week to the household. We do about 6000 miles a week. Money is good. And I’m a rookie...only been driving since September 2017. Hubby is experienced. Can’t complain.JMon and IndianaMike Thank this.

Actually after doing some calculating, it’s not quite 70 cpm. More like 68-69 cpm.
But still decent $.John Joel Glanton and IndianaMike Thank this. -
When I was in Central Dispatch, I was the only one that was a driver before dispatching. I liked the people in the office, but they did tend to treat the drivers in a condescending way.

You could say that about any company. We have dispatchers like that too.speedyk Thanks this.
