I have worked for several LTL companies, including R&L. Now I will grant you, they pay better than you are going to get OTR. But I can safely say they were the worst LTL company I ever worked for.
Check out Estes if they are hiring in your area. Fed Ex freight (actually it was American Freight when I was there) wasnt bad either. Even Yellow was better than R&L. The rest of the LTLs I worked at are gone now (mostly bought by others).

Please don’t judge for what I’m about to ask, when you have the manifest that has the hazmat sticker but placards are not required, would you still take it through a hazmat route? Can we take non placard hazmat loads through the 70 west of Denver?
-
This PDF is worth saving if you'll be traveling through that route frequently: https://www.sos.state.co.us/CCR/GenerateRulePdf.do?ruleVersionId=5760&fileName=2 CCR 601-8
It goes into detail about everything having to do with trucking through the tunnels in Colorado, but the most useful information is a list (including pictures) of what hazmat classes can and cannot be brought through the Eisenhower tunnel when Loveland Pass is closed. -

And also in general, when having a non placarded hazmat load should we routed as hazmat or not?
