I just got let go from this company for being late one a load, I only had 2 late loads. Company was charged a R/S fee, now info no truck GPS could locate the address, dispatch had no info either. I goodgle mapped it, it got me closer but the road it wanted to take me down, did not look semi friendly. I was in Moreno Valley CA, the smog was so and I couldn't even see enough ahead to find a place to turn around.
Next I had a Tys to Wal load, Tys come preloaded, and sealed. I deliver to Wal they are a skid short. I notify dispatcher, tell them Walmart was filing the claim, and that I had been given paperwork from Wal showing that.
I was expecting a paycheck this week, instead they have me paying for the R/S few, which it was a double stop, I had to gotten a bolt in my tractor tire, I waited at the client to fix.
I then was advised I also had a chargeback for $1,000 for the shortage, where I supplied all the info and wasn't notified, nor signed anything. That happened 8-22. The kicker that other load I was late on I had to pay a late fee, I also have had 2 other loads that were short, I supplied the same info that I did for the other shortage that they are charging me $1,000 for, on that late load and other shortages I was not charged for those. I called directed of operations, he said he would get back to me same day, he didn't. I will be filing claims with the labor dept, and proof is in the qualcomm and paperwork, showing I did my part. I wouldn't work there was also told I was going to be a company driver, when I got there I was told I would be with a fleet carrier, where I drove pieces or #### 2007s, and my dog deposit hasn't been refunded due to close to &1,400 in bogus charges..

    scottied67 Thanks this.

I would be interested kinda late notice, I am in the process now of looking for a lawyer, to file claims agains R&M, and the fleet carrier they stuck me with when they said I would be company driver. Not a company driver having to work for a fleet and drive crap trucks

I am currently working for RoadRunner Temperature Controlled (RRTC) formally know as Sortinos or R&M
Sorttinos and R&M merged with RRTC a few weeks ago and still going threw the process
I started out as a Sortino a year ago and this is my second year with them at this point in time i dont have alot of complaints or negative things to say about them
The little things yanking my chain is 1) their benefits are crap pay to much weekly and dont cover much when you actually have to use them 2) vacation- nobody has said anything or mentioned the word since i have been here when i had my new orientation with RRTC since they merged i brought it up and i got a i dont we will look into it reply from them
The positions they currently have are company drivers and owner operators
Company drivers pay is devided into salary or cpm salary is 1150 a week before taxes and everything else dropped every Friday morning cpm is .42 all miles at start or atleast it was for me i did have 5 years prior experience weather it was factored in or not i dont know they plenty of loads and you can easily get 3000+ miles a week im on one of their dedicated/regional accounts hauling only tyson loads and home daily i average about 2500-3000 miles a week give or take when when I started i was running 2000-2500 miles a week on cpm after i opt to become salary my miles went up to 2500-3000 miles a week my work week is sunday night leave and deliver Monday morning and come back the same day and rinse and repeat for the rest of the week it is all on elogs so have to manage your time wisely otherwise i cant make it back home
Owner operators are paind 1.00 all miles plus fuel surcharge
owner operators with there own authority get paid 80-82% of the load itself
They do have lease purchase programs as well for those interested it is thru quality leasing but not only them they have others and well as their own i asked about leasing a new volvo when I started a year they told me 650 a week for a payment but it was a new truck with low miles so take it for what it is i guess
The company drivers drive penske trucks 2017 cascadia automatic transmission and governed at 70 miles all maintenance is dont thru penske the refers are crap for the most part old and definitely need replacing always somthing a miss with them
The staff is friendly almost like there're to friendly they call when they need something and thats it very helpful
All in all good company thus far for me i dont have much to complain about other then working 70hrs a week and make 800 bucks with no vacation pay
