    You bought a cheap one and it cost you... sounds like.
    Always pay for undetectable.
    I'm sure by now you know all of this.
    My 1st one may as well have had a big red arrow pointing at it.

    Details.

    Most of the radar systems (adaptive cruise, collusion mitigation) in the cars are way above the K band and if they do, it is such a cheap POS detector, it isn't worth a dime.

    Laser detectors?

    I have a Bel sti Magnum. I hate not having it in my truck. I’m not a speeder, I like being alerted to the speed traps.
