Jesse, I already tried to explain to this moron what an EXPORT radio was....he says I don't know what I am talking about. I finally gave up and LOL'd, it's all you can do! The idiot is exactly what you have discovered, simply a troll looking for attention, obviously he's no truck driver. I suspect that he and the housefly are actually the same person.

He still thinks EXPORT radios are IMPORTED into the US! He can't possibly understand anything you use to educate him...he already knows EVERYTHING. Of course, reality will catch up with him someday....it just probobly won't be a result of reading and un derstanding on this forum. I gave up completely with this bonehead and just sit back and watch him post stupidity now:)

    Keep on Truckin" :)
    It's sorta fun:)

    TriAxleTrucker16, I know what you mean =) I'm a ham too, but never fear! I don't bash...

    from the website...
Hmmm, sounds like they're selling by telling why other businesses are bad! It's like a political commercial! :D Anyhow, I'll most likely just be a hater. :biggrin_2559:

    Cheers!

Yep...9 times out of 10 this is the case...Some idiot doesn't take the hint he's messing up someones electronics, and makes no effort to fix the problem, then after months of complaints to the FCC, they have to come out and investigate...And almost 100% of the time it's a base station causing problems...FCC could care less about what you run, and will not be driving down your street looking for you, UNLESS they have a reason to do so, like complaints from your neighbors...

    Agreed.

My first radio install at home had a complaint from the neighbors. To the fire chief!! They said I had an extension cord running to the tree, when in truth it was a dipole antenna :-D

:biggrin_2559: I knew a ham who used thin wire to a pole for a end fed when he transmitted it got hot enough to glow red when he used the tuner the red spot moved around :biggrin_2559:

And YES they called the fire department too .... You got to love people with nothing better to do but watch a wire glow .....

Yep, no amp or radio with extra channels is legal. Does anyone really care? Nope. As long as you keep out of the HAM bands, no one will care, unless you're tearing tv's and phones, and all that.
