So my radio is a Uniden PC-66A. I picked it up from Goodwill for a few bucks and, unlike the other radios I have found used, it works. There was an issue with the modulation and "dead key" but I tweaked it and I'm satisfied with the results.
Anyway, I haven't seen a mount specifically for this. There are "universal" mounts and ones for several radios, seemingly including my own. No CB mounts I have seen are too expensive. Still, I don't want to spend money and time ordering a mount just to find that it's not going to fit my radio or it won't allow it to tilt up like I want. Instead, I'm making my own solution.
Tonight I cut some strips from aluminum sheet I have. They measure 5in by 2in. I clamped them in a vise, blasted them with a propane torch, and bent them into an L-shape with pliers and a hammer. Their rigidity surprises me and I'm sure they'll meet my needs. I'm putting some exterior paint on them and tomorrow I'll probably put them in the truck so my radio can stop sliding all over the #### place while I drive.
I don't have pictures right now but I'll take some before I bolt them in. I could easily join them with a flat piece of metal so it would be more like other radio mounts.
