Last month when I was at the Ham Radio Outlet store in Denver, I noticed they sold Cobra CB radios. I was a little surprised at that. Of course they will sell antennas, mounts, coax, meters, etc that a guy would need for CB radio as well as for ham radio.

I purchased a Yaesu ft-710 radio. I traded in my icom 7300. Their display was okay, it didn't seem as full as the last time I was there. I think it was because they didn't have a Yaesu dx-1200 radio anymore on display since it is discontinued. It was a bigger radio so it took up more room. I mainly focused in on the 710, so I didn't pay that close attention, ha.

    PFFT!!

What do those ham radio guys know nothing about CB Radio?

they are two completely different animals, and they have no common threads between them other than they have a mic and you push the button to talk.

Those ham guys don't even have channels, they are all over the place.

Do they sell antennas and coax?

Bet these are those old Antenna Specialists they yanked off of cars in the junkyards.

    What kind of coax?

That old radio shack rejected stuff they bought at auction for $10 a 1000-foot roll?

There prices are high but if you want new Equipment unless you can make it to a big hamfest options are limited

I agree. Unfortunately the local once a year ham fest in my area, are really just a junk fest anymore.
