I have unlimited data for (relatively) cheap from Mint Mobile, so whenever I run out of podcasts and want something different than the 6 GB of songs on my iPhone, I have several favorite radio stations that stream their broadcasts. I use either the Radio Garden app or I stream from a station’s homepage.
Radio streaming services?

I use paid Spotify. Can’t live without it.

Between streaming apps like Simple Radio and Tune In, not to mention specific apps like Nova FM, BBC Sounds, NPR, and a few stations that have apps, you can stream almost anything through your phone, as long as you have cell service. There was a time circa 2000 where some places out west might not have at least 4G service, but I'm not certain if there is anyplace like that left today.

My Tuner is free,,,100’s of radio stations. I was using Spotify for the last few years for music,,there are also limited podcasts. Im sharing the Spotify plan with 4 others,,,it’s $120? Annually.

I use the SiriusXM app on my company provided phone. Bluetooth connected to truck stereo.
tscottme and Walk Among Us Thank this. -
Satellite radio was big when it first came out. It’s not so great anymore the radio station repeat the same song over and over. They have advertisement on all the other channels but the music channels. They have a trucker channel and the repeats like every 12 hours. The radio hosts are not very good in my opinion anymore on the truckers channel
Since you can get unlimited data on cell phone cheap today. You can listen to podcast and music from Spotify or YouTube Music or Apple Music or anyone you like
satellites radio music compresses the music to get more data thru the satellite if you listen you might notice it doesn’t sound very good. That’s why, they take stuff out of the music so it’s less data.
I did like how on satellite radio you have your preset channels if you find talk radio or new channels you like you can switch to them every day same time. Using cell phone it had to be mount to dash and technically you only supposed to touch screen one button at a time.tscottme Thanks this. -

If you use SiriusXM use the app/phone.
You get access to way more channels. For example if you like country or rock, there is a "just music" option. No djs, no ads. They don't repeat as much as the normal stations. You also have access to podcasts, etc.
My wife has Sirius in the personal Vehicle. Built in so no access to the extra stations.
I personally use Amazon Music, SiriusXM and every now and then free Spotify. Pandora is good also, I used to use them way back when they were totally free, before they went to paid mode. I like the ability to skip songs.
Sirius you can get super cheap. I think we pay..3.99 a month. Gotta get those promos!
Amazon music is by far the most expensive of the ones I use, but they also have everything I want to listen to, and/or download. I have 6,000 songs downloaded to my phone via Amazon Music. Refresh it once a month, and good to go.
End of the day, whatever service fits your needs is the best one.
Good luck, I'd hate to not have music/podcasts/etc to listen to.
Right now...I'm listening to a Jimmy Buffett concert from Chicago from the mid 2000s.

Siriusxm is great for sports . They have a chokehold on most of all major sports markets.. I pay for it just to listen to the cardinals games during NFL season.. I also pay 5 a month for pandora to get rid of ads and can skip unlimited songs

They do have a ton of sports/sports talk channels/options, that's for sure.
I do enjoy a good game over the radio. Don't care for the chatter of the sports talk shows though.
