I told him about a week ago I was hearing him from 130 miles even though he was pointed south. Today I texted him to spin around north, and got him on hwy 269 while I was northeast bound so I couldn't cheat off the trailer roof.
The ears on this radio are just turned up using a tone generator. Ray's cb shop made the 18 foot coax and I bought the 6 foot skipshooter from him. Forward tilted gives me about 1.3 on 20. Its so quiet though, I don't know why, but it helps me hear them far away. Radio is wired to the overhead wires.
