As far as I know they all allow smoking. They will ask you if you want a trainer that smokes or allows a smoker trainee.

I was asked earlier today in my second phone interview whether or not I smoke, by Wil-Trans/Jim Palmer. I said I do, but would happily give it up if it meant a better trainer and they didn't allow it in their truck. It doesn't seem like it would be an issue for them.

And Raider actually is free. They get a lot of miles out of you during the training that you are barely paid for, and at the end of the day, most of the people they train stay on. They turned me down because I had a record, but were still keen on giving me any info I asked about because I told them I have friends and family who would possibly be interested.

I've been with raider for about two years. Started with no experience and I now train new guys like you. They're a really good company and get a bad rap because of a lot of lazy self entitled new hires. You can make some serious money here even on e logs. I started on paper myself though. The trucks idle can be overridden, when it's hot it's hot nobody expects you to burn up. There's good trainers that smoke and bad trainers that smoke. If you have any issues with your trainer and feel he's not a good fit for you, you can actually ask for a new one. Money wise I made over 70,000$ my first year and by the end of this year I'll have made over 90,000$. If you have any questions you can message me

And I'm sorry, in addition to that I would add... You grossed 70k your first year, at .30cpm?! Wut?

Your pay increases to .36 by 6 months and you get fuel bonuses as well up to a extra .05cpm . The tier bonus pay they have helps out a lot. I live on the truck for the most part and take maybe 1 day off a month.you can make lots of money here you just have to put in your time and work hard.they're very accommodating with home time as well as long as you give them proper advance notice. We don't run all 48, I've gone almost everywhere except past the Rocky Mountains ,Georgia,Alabama,Louisiana, north Dakota ,south Carolina, north Carolina,Virginia, and Florida.

The company that I am looking to work for starts at .41cpm. The trucks are governed at 62mph. Assuming that I can peg the pedal to the floor for 11 hours exactly at exactly 62mph, I can run 680 miles per day, at .41... Assuming an average of 2500 miles per week(we can calculate 3k plus if you like) and 3 days off every 28 days, we are working 329 days.

Assuming the very best case scenario, not considering resets, breakdowns, traffic or even average miles per week. Only assuming that the pedal is to the floor for 11 hours straight, 62mph, .41cpm, 329 days per year, with no breakdown or layover or detention or drug tests or inspection or sitting 30 minutes for fuel or looking for a parking spot or waiting for a security guard or pulling up to a dock and trying to back 3 times before bumping the dock... I would have the possibility of making a maximum of $91,725.20 from driving alone. That doesn't account for all of the different ways to make money, like detention or tailgating a load, layover etc... But it doesn't really need to, because sitting at the consignee actually hurts our earning potential. I can make 25 an hour basically with the wheels turning, and far less in detention pay. Also, my starting rate is higher. If I started at .30cpm or whatever, it's far lower. Even if I graduated over time to .36, I would not be able to make 70k in that year. I'd have to be averaging between 3200-3600 miles every week, no breakdowns, no traffic, no pissing on the side of the road, no pissing for my employer.

Just trying to figure out how you made 70k. I'm not saying you didn't, you may have and I'm missing it. Just trying to learn the secret, because if there is one I don't know, I can make a ####load more money lol

You got it right RR.His story doesn't seem belivable.I can tell you that even @47 cpm and accesorials it is hard to gross $90k a year.I also don't believe they will have a load for you whenever you available. You are right about layovers, breakdowns, detentions too.
Oh and my truck is governed @76mph not 62.
