Spend a day or two In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, especially during rush hour! Make a man out of you or kill you in the process.

Those clover leaf death traps are the worst. Its 25-30mph curve then you have to get out on to the freeway while other vehiches are trying to work in to get off.
If I come up on one of those clover leafs and Im not planning on getting off, I will move to the center lane.
Getting off the first clover leaf exit is easy. If I have to take the second exit, the one with the sharp curve Ill signal and start slowing as soon as I pass the first exit. As I pass the on ramp I can see off to my right any cars coming around that are going to want on. Usually they will slow and get on the freeway behind you, and you now have the space to move to the right.
Getting on, I hammer down as soon as I hit the ramp (or clear the sharpest point of the curve). Most of the time vehicles will leave the right lane and make a space for you. Just watch out for semis that might be pinned in the right lane. When that happens I just slow a little and let them go by.
So far I have never had to come to a stop on the on ramp.Wasted Thyme Thanks this.
