Rand McNally ELD 50 questions

My ELD50 is paired with the OD8 pro .. Both purchased new in mid-November. Personally, it seems like the ELD50 works fine, chronic issues with the DC app since the Dec. 15th production release.

And do as I suggested on the prior post?

 

I was on 4.6 as of 12/20 ... worked fine 12/21 ... off until 12/28. Headed out again 12/28, worked ok for a few hours then started acting up again so I checked for an update, updated to 4.6.1. Started functioning properly again, then right back to the same issues on 12/29. Although the DC app continued to disconnect / shut-down / re-connect during my work day yesterday, it seemed to correct itself and my log was accurate when I shut down for the night. Today, I launched the DC app and my log now shows I was driving for 17+ straight hours. All of the duty status changes have disappeared.

 

Mark ... If I clear the data from the DC app, am I going to lose any uncertified log data ?

 

Log off the app first

 

Did you do as I suggested in the prior post yo clear out the app data?

Eld50 to what device?

 

Not yet ... ELD50 is paired to OD8pro ... Do I need to be in the truck and connected to the ELD to perform the "cleansing" you describe ?
