Rand McNally ELD 50 questions

Yes I’ve done 2 update they telling me that there working another update as of 10/6/17

 

Thanks for this info, was about to try the RM but it sounds like their ELD is as bad as their tablet. Gonna try Big road I guess.

 

What kind of ELD are you looking for? One that is a stand-alone hard-wired device (like a QualComm, PeopleNet, VDO) or one that uses your smartphone or tablet to connect to it?

For instance, the Rand ELD can connect to their tablets, but it can also connect your non-Rand devices like your phone or tablet. Just curious.

 

Not to be off topic, but I have not seen you post on the Support Thread,,, so do you own a RM Tablet or just going off hearsay?

 

I like the overdrive 8 tablet and there eld50 settings miles per hour can be adjustable PC drive and I can just my times other than drive

 

I have owned it for a couple of years.

Not sure right now. We have 35 trucks, I only have 3 but we will all be on the same system. Just doing a little more research before we pull the trigger. We are supposed to get 2 samsara systems for a 2 week trial. My truck is a 99, but I'm going to put one in it just to test it out. I wanna know what is going in my other trucks.
I guess looking more at one that can connect to a tablet or phone.

 

Mark, if I use the eld with my 740, can i use the bluetooth capability on the 740 to print the logs on my truckboard printer? Thanks much
