Sure. Lots of folks doing demos and research like that right now. If you throw out the actual reliability and functions of the actual ELD part of the conversation, because that is another topic, you can divide the entire decision firstly into 2 categories: Stand-Alone Dedicated Unit or Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) unit. Each has distinct advantages and disadvantages regardless of the vendor.

Either way, I totally agree that you will want them to all be on the same admin system from a management standpoint.

 

I’m running the ELD 50 and overdrive pro 8 it will do everything you want and need and they have 98% of the begs fixed and you can set your MPH from 5 up to 35 before put on the drive line and set up is easy

 

I bought the Rand McNally 740 GPS and installed ELD 50 the first day I used it it put me in violation at 8 hours the second day I got pulled over for a roadside inspection went to hand the tablet over to the inspector when I hit the button for him to use my last 7 Days of logs the unit froze up I got put out of service for 10 hours because I couldn't provide my log I've called Rand McNally they repaired the computer problem with a with a patch since then I used it one more day and it put me out of service at 8 hours again and I am using the proper rule 8 Day 70 hours I tried to speak with a supervisor they told me you had to wait 24 to 48 hours it's now been 48 hours and I haven't received a phone call I'm not very happy with the situation I think I'm going to switch to another Eld

Mine did the same thing but they had 2 major up dates in the last two weeks and it’s been doing everything right and it’s getting your location for you and keep doing your paper logs and give them to DOT and you will see it is working right for you PS don’t forget to do the updates
