Tnd Dock should be version - 1.0.55.0
If you could, connect the TND to your computer, turn it on. Close out TND Dock when it pops up.
In the lower right hand of your monitor in the start up tasks icons, find the little white snowflake, right click on it and exit TND Dock.
Then on your C:\ find a folder called "logs". Attach the last 5 days of the log files. I will forward them to RM and RM will see what the error is.
And for those Computer savy drivers..the log files are what the TND Dock records each time you active the Dock.
E-mail to rmleadbetatester at gmail dot com...
Hard to guess until we see the log files... could be bad internet, Dock acting up, etc etc..
Thanks,

Hey Mark, I set my unit to "Truck and Car" and set vehicle to "Truck". In Oregon, it only shows the car speed limit (white sign), As soon as I crossed into California, it showed an Orange truck speed limit sign and seemed to work pretty good, there were a few places where it changed to the car speed limit, but just for a few miles, no big deal.
Also, I know how to creat a note when saving an address, but how do you access that note at a later date? for example phone number or special instructions on entering shipper or reciever? -
I also have send this to IUFAN87 via E-mail as IUFAN87 contacted me.
Earlier in a post I mentioned that RM was doing a running change by moving the SD card files to a larger internal Flash. It is referred to as the TND 500 A4. The TND 500 A3 has the external SD card. The only difference is that the A4 has all the folders\files moved internally. No External SD card.
The TND Dock has a minor issue connecting to the A4. It has been reported earlier and I will let RM know.
I will post here when the A4 is fully updatable with the Dock. If you have an A4 model and are not on ver 1443, I can send you the files you will need.
Thanks,
Mark -
WOW..miller time now...something worked...lol
yes, the speed limit will go Orange if you are are on a split speed road, and if not then it will show a white speed limit sign unless you exceed your number you put into your device settings,,,then it will go red.
Since we know California is 55 for trucks,,, RM would like to know approx what MM and I presume I-5 you were on. They can correct the truck attributes then for that segment of the road.
I send your question up to RM also on the notes.
But, the way I see to read your note is Chose Destination\address book\ click on your save name\create note - this will bring up prior saved info you entered into the note field... (prob needs to be renamed)
Thanks,
Mark -
It was a few miles North and South of exit 578 on the southbound side where the speed limit said 70mph. Oregon is a split speed limit too, and didnt work at all there.
I went back to where I saved my address and added the note, but no note there now, hmmm -
Wow it just made a liar out of me, I can now read the notes I had left earlier. Fixing one problem at a time...

secret decoder ring....
Forwarded the speed limit info to RM..
Thanks,

That may be 2 different problems. Assuming you have windows, the first one may be the USB port. They get hung up, now and then, when different devices are used in the same port. Uninstall the TND software, then delete the USB port via Device manager and restart. That will reinstall it automatically and generally clear up any problems.
The second sounds like an internet or server issue, but it could be caused by your computer. Here are a couple of things you can do (and should do now and then). Open your browser and clear the browser cache. Close the browser. From the start menu type in "%temp%" without the double quotes. It will open the temp directory which often has a ton of junk files in it. Delete them all. i.e.. Highlight 1 file and select them all, via Ctrl/A. Then press delete. Reboot and run a disk check. Reinstall the software and try it again. The Rand McNally is very easy to update.
