Again this is a support thread... please keep on topic. If you wish to talk about other things besides the Support of a Rand please open another thread. Posts such as this will take this thread away from what it intended to do as planned.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Am having an issue with my tnd 80. When I bought it a few weeks ago it had some issues updating the maps because of loss of wifi signal right in the middle of the update. this froze the unit. So being me, after several attempts to do the repair function I did a factory reboot but I think I used the wrong one. it seems to have wiped the unit of a lot of files. I have been able to get the rand mcnally functions back and they are working great (better than the tnd 720 that i had before the screen shattered, causing me to get the tnd 80 tablet) Anyway, my problem is that the google side of things, along with back up functions are gone. it tells me that there was a problem communicating with google severs. try again later. Since it looks as if there are important parts to the google apps missing how do I go about reinstalling them or fixing what ever I fubarred

On the back is this an 80 or 80B?

A factory reset does not affect the Google side of things.

Are you on home time or still on the road?

    Thanks mark

I went thru the recovery mode function to do the reset. All the google functions were working before I did this foolishness(strong language withheld)
