Yeah, batteries go to pot fast when they are constantly charging. It isn't realistic to unplug them and plug them back in when they go down to 20%.

Too cheap to design the unit to prevent overcharging...

 

Heck I may as well go back to a road atlas. And Google maps.

 

I would advise all to stay away from the OverDryve - 8 pro. Please pass on to others not to waste their money...

 

Maybe rand is going to stop making GPS only units? Or get out completely. And just sell software.
I am not happy my lifetime map update is now not supported. Useless.

 

Anyone have an issue with the 740 getting an error message about license expired, and then having to reboot the unit and do a GPS repair to get it working again? I've had to do it 3 times in the last month.

 

For backup i have CoPilot but i see now PC Miler is getting back into the game with a phone app. Google it on google play. I only installed the free basic version since im only driving local at the moment.

 

Only place is RM itself. you will either have to call CS (good luck) or switch to an app based like Smart Truck 2.

 

Got a surprise when I started then RM Dock tonight, there is a map update for my TND 730

 

What! There is not supposed to be any support now?

 

Overdrive Pro 7 will not charge until tablet goes dead. Got a new slice after waiting 2 mos. Still doing it. About to send the whole thing back.
