I suggest downloading and saving the OverDryve 8 Pro manual. That model has a TON of features such that even the manual is a very informative 60 pages of tips. Attached it here.

Anyone buy the RM550/750 units yet?

not sure I even want to look at them if the maps are as “up to date” as my 740... gotta love a company that gives you “unlimited updates” but never releases any updates.

I've had it with RM. Their maps are getting really bad. Seems like they have given up on updating the speed limits as well as new truck stops. Road Ranger dropped off the Pilot fuel network 2 1/2 years ago. The insane routing it does for example the maps have no idea there is an exit for Elmhurst Ave off I90 in Chicago and wants me to take some bizarre 20 mile detour.

For the most part the Overdryve has been pretty good. It's been what.. 2 years since they did anything with the maps?

Funny thing is - I don't think the Garmin is much better.

It’s a real shame that “free apps” have more up to date map data... yes, I buy RM for “Truck Routing” but would love to feel more confident knowing the underlying data is up to date.

Ya, I don’t know how many times I click the speed limit sign on the screen and submit updated information... and then feel like “WTF, why do I waste my time???”
