Random Drug Test for an independent O/O

That's the place that has the fuel discounts. The discounts actually are good but there's nothing cheap about joining them.

I can't remember it was either attend a class or you have to pay a monthly fee or something but I don't remember the pricing but it was pretty expensive from what I remember.

 

National Association of Small Trucking Companies. Fuel discount program, tire discount program, excellent insurance brokers, safety programs. Really an excellent outfit (note I did not say “perfect”!). Between their fuel program and insurance, they save me a bundle.

in my case my wife is the designated hitter on the tests. I had to educate her on the process after she sent our driver for a test under load (we haul live fish). She now doesn’t open the mail until the driver is unloaded.......

 

Yup name your wife as the person to notify… they have some fancy title for it. And they mail a lettter to the house and when it’s convenient you have her call them and set up the test at your local concentra and your done.

Ive even called saying I was the wife and set it up myself…..something was said like you don’t sound like a Susan and my response was In my neighborhood we don’t call people out for which sex they identify themselves as…….

He said where and what time do you want to go……..

It's 300 a year and 29-30 a month. The 29-30 a month is waived if you attend the class. The saving in fuel alone is worth it. They also do factoring. They're basically a one stop shop for a trucking company. The more trucks you have the better the savings too. I feel they're more set up for fleets. But single truck o/o still do good with them

 

DER needs the supervisory training for drug and alcohol....

 

The amount of poppy seeds you'd have to eat to trigger a positive is astronomical!

 

I'm going to correct myself. Did a quick Google search. And ya eating a poppy seed bagel could give you a dirty drug test. Wow. Article said it does depend on where the poppy seeds came from as most are processed and take the opium properties out of it. And lots of testers have raised the threshold to account for this. But it is possible.
