Sweet house, always nice to leave the parents, call it the buffer zone, better when you moved about 3 states away. I moved about 5 states away from my parents, now we just enjoy summer trips together exploring Montana, South Dakota, Idaho, BC.

HOLY S***, I'm just amazed, I commend anyone who can drive manual trucks, 13-18 speed, I just watched some videos on Youtube just to get an understanding of what all of you go through. I'm scared to death. There's so much involved, why does it have to be so difficult. As you can see I know nothing about manual transmissions, plus driving the truck and not crashing, WOW.

Eh? Your better off not knowing a man trans before driving truck. Its easier to make good habits than break bad ones..

Yes, that's what I've been told before, which is awesome, just seems like so much to know and really paying close attention to detail. After watching these videos, I had dreams about it in my sleep, like I just feel so overwhelmed. But I'm sure with practice and dedication, I'll get it, I see why automatic is in great demand ;)

Driving a manual transmission becomes a sensory driven event after awhile. You tend to drive more by auditory and sensory cues, coupled with muscle memory. It really is a mentally satisfying thing, at least when you're having a good day.

Sadly, our fleet is going automatic-only. My tractor today has an Allison, which has its upsides (full throttle shifts!) and downsides (not enough gear ratios, poor fuel economy).

    misterG and jess4040 Thank this.

Estes in North Ridgeville, ohio always always has the NOW HIRING sign up permanently in the front yard. Estes opened a new terminal up on 21 in Richfield right down the road from the old CF Break Bulk.
