I think there using them as a bargaining chip. The boss man said that the Kenworths have come with mixed reviews in some ways they do things a little better and in some ways they do things worse. If they bought a token order from Kenworth and put them on volume it wouldn't be a big deal. I drove Mike's Kenworth it was okay on a Volume route, the reviews that I've gotten about them was that nobody seems to really be blown away by them, that's for sure.

If I worked for your company I would probably rather have an International.

Ours are very well-spec'd, and most of us that drive them prefer them over the KWs. The KWs are also nice, just not to my liking in terms of ergonomics. Part of it is just what you're used to, and right now I'm really used to my International.

The KWs have also been known to have quality control issues from the factory and I've even had them throw codes on their maiden voyage. I just think they're fancy junk basically.

Oh, our Internationals are my favorite trucks. Then the Kenworths that comprise most of our tractors, and then the old reliable (but uncomfortable to drive) Macks. I've heard good things about the Freightliners we've experimented with, but have yet to drive one.

We just got 5 new road trucks with 12 speed transmissions. They are lightyears better than the 10 speed trucks

You’ll probably find them to run at 63 as opposed to 65. We have one of these in the yard as well, R244–. I can’t sit behind the guy that has it if we are convoying. He can’t move a true 65.

We run Shakers, KW's, and Volvos in our fleet. Volvos are my least favorite. They just dont have enough leg room for me to find a comfortable driving position. Some of our drivers love them. They are all under 6' tall.

Our KW's are marginally better, but not much. I'll drive one before I will a Volvo, but I still won't enjoy it. The overhead bin barely large enough to hold a spare ink pen is a nice perk though.

The Cascadias are my favorite of the three. Love or hate them, at the end of a long day my legs aren't cramped and my back isn't seized up. That's good enough for me. Year wise, '17 and older are great. They have a shorter throw on the shifter than the newer trucks. Unfortunately those years are getting turned out to other terminals or sent to the city side.
