On this trailer, both of the glad hands are red. I disconnected the other day and when I reconnected I out red on red and didn't pay attention to the other one. Well actually it is a really dark red and covered in dirt, so I assumed it was blue.

Well after I reconnected, my bags wouldn't air, after trouble shooting, I realized there was two red, so I tried switching the lines to see if it was backwards and sure enough that fixed the problem.

However now I hear an air leak coming out of my yellow parking break when I push it in to drive. I constantly hear it as I drive but I maintain pressure.

But when I do some extended backing, I lose air and my warning Bell eventually goes off.

    What's wrong?

Brake chamber, on the parking brake side. Get everything aired up and check all of your parking brakes, specifically the ones on the trailer. After you had hooked it up backwards and put full air pressure to them, its very possible that it blew out a diaphragm in one.

service side you will have to use something to jam the brake pedal down and craw under and listen for a can leaking on the truck. on trailer just pull down the trailer valve lever and hold it and go listen for a leak.

TripleSix, macavoy and Oscar the KW Thank this.
