Its not a car, the brake light is signaled by a pressure switch in most cases, not a pedal switch, therefore the same switch circuit is being utilized to activate the brake lights.
Depends upon to what you're referencing. You can "get under" a Tractor but if you didn't set the brakes, you can "chase it" yet if on a descent, unlikely to "catch it" and if somehow you get in front of it before it ceases motion, you'll most likely "get under" it twice. It's all Hilariously Hypothetical since there's no Original Format other than 2 open questions within one, so "technically" without "chasing" or being "under" the question, one may theoretically conclude some result without actually gaining any knowledge.
Such clarification would have largely helped. If ones' tractor is hooked to a trailer, one is already "under it". When one sorta loses the reverse control of the Trailer Direction, then Yes, one would verily be "chasing it".
As to the "survey": NO. I've also NEVER Parked On An Escape Ramp, or a Loading/Unloading Ramp, just Highway Ramps. ___________________________________________________________________________ My Aunt had some Ramps growing in her Yard in the 90's and they had a good kick too. - - - - CHEERZ!!
Maybe true as a statement of fact BUT How do you know if you are activating said circuit on the pedal? Which is the only 1 that matters. The old trucks the signals and the 4 ways had separate flashers. And it doesn't change the fact there is a right way and a wrong way to do a circle check. It seems some don't know the correct way, so why confuse people who want to do it right.
He wasn't asking how to do it right, he was asking how to do it by himself. This is the easiest single-person method. Sure, he could get an adjustable bar, press the brake down and wedge it against the seat, but that's an awful lot more work. He could also get a portable mirror w/stand, set it up behind the tractor, then trailer, and check them himself that way. Once again, extra equipment and time wasted.
''REALITY'' goes out to truck, counts the tires while walking, yup they are all there, jumps in the truck and leaves. That's the easiest way. It seems a lot of bubbles got burst in this thread cause I don't get it.
