There is a huge difference between having a quota, just trying to do his job and your deadheading to la so you must be transporting drugs so let's tow and impound the truck.
I regularly deadhead over a thousand miles and occasionally two thousand. According to that particular officer that means im transporting drugs and my truck needs to be impounded.

You're skipping a few steps - mainly your own contributions to the conversation and law - there.Tug Toy and Tx Countryboy Thank this.

So why not remove the 4th amendment all together? Ba$tards will not search me with out probable cause or a warrant. If they ask you for permission they don't have a right or business to be doing it.
Anytime someone knows their rights some idiots always responded by calling them "lawyers" as if you need to be a lawyer to know your rights lol.Opendeckin, PoleCrusher and ridgerunner77 Thank this. -
Ok "big dawg". Politely requesting a warrant is way different than these insane polemics you internet anti-cop warriors always quote.
Thing is, folks like you are always mad about getting caught, then the search. Keep clean and you're good.
You're the biiiiiig dawwwwg, though. You get that. The Biggest Dawg Thanks this. -
I am clean. Never transported drugs or illegal weapons or anything else. Just because I don't want my truck ransacked like some scene in a crime movie doesn't mean I am doing something illegal.Last edited: Nov 24, 2019

Or just naive. Like I said earlier in the thread, I also was a big believer in the whole nothing to hide nothing to fear attitude. Having my truck ransacked like a scene in a movie was enough to change that belief of good will into if you want to search it get a warrant

One of the things people seem to overlook. The number one job of law enforcement is to put everyone that they contact in jail for some reason. If you don’t think thats true, then you may have missed the shift. It is and was slow.
The Biggest Dawg Thanks this. -
Sadly there's some truth to that. I'm not blaming the OP because I haven't seen him but lots of things will give them that reason. Appearance, attitude, equipment, location. All of it.
