Ranger 2950, need help.

    Simple enough, shut the engine off and try it. Also try a different mike. Then try it in another vehicle. Try it at various mike gain and carrier settings. If the noise exists in all tests have it fixed.

    do you use an dc to ac inverter? if so try turning it off to see if that is causing the trouble.

    Drivers! I was wrong !! As suggested it was a dirty power supply causing the grief. It now talks and receives much better. Thank you for that.

    Now that it works, I see just how complicated it is.......and it's a pain in the arse. I'm thinking I have bought more radio than I want......... time will tell.......anyway, thanks!
