Do you guys know how much they charge to fix the transistors in a ranger 2950CD?

I know a guy that would do it for 30 bucks. It won't perform very well after he gets done with it though.

DTB Radio or Q5 CB can fix it but the cost will be much greater.

    Sgonza101 Thanks this.

The parts are cheap. Labor can cost up to a 100 bucks an hour and replacing the finals isn't simply a matter of dropping parts in and soldering them in place since other adjustments have to be made to compensate for the differences in the new transistors.
That's why I mentioned some guy over in Missouri that doesn't really know what hes doing and he would probably charge you 30 bucks to put the new parts in but he doesn't have a clue how to make any of the adjustments necessary to make it function at its peak potential.
DTB and Q5 Would probably charge you at least a $100 to replace those components and realign the radio.

    A few thoughts ....

Rabbi is partially right, but just replacing them will give you a radio. Getting it properly aligned will give you performance of the finals.

The replacement of the finals are simple and if you have a mechanical ability, you can do it yourself.

The more important question that needs to be address is why they went bad. Was it a bad antenna system or something else?

Ok as long as you identified it, I've know people who blew finals, paid good coin to get them fixed only to have the radio end up blown finals within a day.
