I was at Tri-City tarps yesterday and seen this bar and figured I'd give it a try for $45....
It's got a pin that holds it on the wench therefore you dont have to pull the bar in and out to tighten the straps...
I guess time will tell if its faster/better than the standard way most of us tighten our straps down...
Just to give an honorable mention to Tri-City they made me a custom tarp I wanted with only 24 hours notice. Steve ( the owners son ) is a very nice guy and very appreciative of your business.

I hate those things. They are only good on stepdecks. Thats the only thing i will use it for anymore.. They might be safer than the regular bar because they wont slip out but they are very slow if u have 15 or more straps. Say on a multi tiered lumber load , it takes a good 10 minutes to tighten all the winches
street beater and JonJon78 Thank this. -
They also sell the ratchet deals that permanently attach to your wench and then you use the regular style bar but for $28 bucks a pop... Kind pricey considering I've got 18 total on my flat...
4mer trucker and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -

I just purchased ratchet style winches, love it 20x better then the regular style. goes up most of the time just one click. sometimes 2 if you pushing the bar down under trailer. don't have to keep taking bar out and putting it back in
not sure if its the same with the ratchet bars, but hope this helps -
I got one and used it for a few loads. Sits under the bunk now because it sucks, setting the pin is slow and it can't be used on loads that require much torque.

If you just purchased them I'm guessing you've never had experience with them in the winter as someone above mentioned they are no good then?4mer trucker Thanks this.
