THANKS EVERYONE for your advice and knowledge. I have def learned a HUGE lesson from this one!! I have some work to do to get this mess cleared up and get what is owed me. And I think this is going to be a big battle. As a matter of fact they just called me to come get my check(normally paid on friday's). And I am sorry if you have nothing to hide, you should not be worried about me asking questions and for wanting rate confirmations and pay stubs. If I get fired.. they are hiding something. I have an outstanding driving record and no issues at all with my deliveries. So we shall see what happens next.

I'd rather not give that up right now. I happen to be the only driver.

I am a contractor. I Drive their truck and have no company responsibility. I show up, drive there truck and go home. I make more than enough though to cover taxes, health and accident insurance, and cover any potential for unenployment.

It depends on where you are seeing that. If you're looking them up on the TxDOT website, it would mean they don't have TX authority, which would be required to haul loads that don't leave the state. They may very well have interstate authority and be fine for loads beginning or ending in TX, just not both. To be honest, I would think it highly unusual for a TX based carrier not to have TX authority since the state is so big.
