Last couple weeks have sucked.
Searched all over the country, multiple trailers etc and rates coming down all across the board.
Carrier said other drivers just taking whatever they can get.
Am concerned with covid increasing again and seeing many reports of vaccinated people dying that things may be slowing down again.
This sucks
Rates are coming down

Meh..
Rates have come down on the load boards since early summer, but still no problems finding work.77fib77, Speed_Drums, Team818 and 2 others Thank this. -
Yeah they did come down but not drastically like when covid 1st hit. Haven't really dropped off anymore, been holding steady for the past few months in the northeast. That was to be expected we all knew they weren't staying that high forever

It’s also mid summer, when rates usually drop and loads on the board slow up. The problem again as usual way to many trucks with way to many desperate idiots out here. Thursday morning I saw 4 loads that in the last have paid $5000 or more, literally go off the board in 5 mins for $3000 range. Those loads were going to far up New England and western NY. Too many trucks and not enough freight again.

Yep we are again saturated with trucks and drivers, it will get better when the rates drop and people go out of business, then rates will again rise.
Everyone wants to make the big bucks, there are a lot of arm chair fleet owners now and I expect they will be out of business by the time the 2022 recession starts.401-Alex, jason6541, Jarhed1964 and 6 others Thank this. -
Hmm, I recently got in a kerfuffle with someone who said rates have never been better,,trucking has always been like that. One guy struggles while another is looking at new KWhoppers. As an O/O, I always hated that. Someone, for no particular reason, save for they were in the right place, makes a killing, and others, who work just as hard, fail. I know my views are dated, but why in Gods sweet earth would you want to be an O/O today?
