According to Google that's 372 mi. If that is the actual mileage thats like 1.70 mi slap in the face rate, unless la has exceptional outbound rates I'd tell em to shove it.
Rates are starting to skyrocket already

When you have practically zero overhead it's easy to run for chump change. Living with 14 people in a household, eating tuna every and other cheap canned foods for weeks on end, welfare and special grants paying for your home expenses because you are a "minority" etc etc all allow this to happen. As much as I despise it personally, it's what gives a free market it's ebb and flow. It's an evil necessity. Before deregulation I guy like me (or them) could never have gotten his own operating authority. So I'd hate to stare a gift horse in the mouth. Instead I'm as grateful as can be right now.
Brettj3876 Thanks this. -
I'd still let it sit just on principal. 1400 is what I'd do it for. And its on a flat? Jesus.

It just amazes me how a load of cardboard can pay 1400 on 275 mi and on the other side of the country its 600$ and 100 extra mi to bootDSK333 Thanks this. -
It's just an imbalance of available trucks one way or another. When the trucks disappear to other areas it will rise. Trucks always go to the money anyways and $600 is good enough for the suckers who foolishly went in there cheap to begin with.
DSK333 and spyder7723 Thank this. -
And truth be told, on that run, $600 gets it covered, easy. It's silly, but the open market is what it is.rollin coal and DSK333 Thank this.

Yaaawwwnnn....give it a rest.
No one, and I mean NO ONE, has given me anything, and neither do I live with "14 people" or even eat tuna.
Maybe you should look in the mirror, instead of blaming others for your woes.
Oh, lemme deliver this $4/mile load to MD, and pick up the next $6/mile load heading to CT for sat delivery - I need to hit $3500 goal for my fri--sat run on my old paper-log truck -
Yeah, that's not NEPA. Not at all.
-
Maybe you should get out more. I see it every day. Literally...every single day! It may not apply to you per se but just because you don't fall into that category doesn't mean it isn't happening. The fact that I seem to have caused you such butthurt shows me that it resonates with you in some way. I guess the truth hurts. Go have yourself a nice can of Chef Boyardee. Also, I never once mentioned any "woes" on my end at all. Read it again then come back. You'll see I'm all for the free market. However, I do have a problem with unbridled immigration and racist Federal programs that give my money away but that's an entirely different discussion.
-
Why do you keep spouting unfounded statements?
There is no federal program that "gives your money away" to immigrants.
You wanna talk about welfare? Non-immigrants get more welfare (your money) than immigrants.
First critical req of getting status in USA is to agree not to be a public charge i.e. not suck on govt tata's. But you would not know that, because you are busy looking for a bogeyman (if they look/sound different) where you cannot compete. -
I like how you continually attempt to put words in my mouth. You're doing a great job of Socialist/Communist/Liberal tactics. I never said "immigrants" at all. I'm not going to sit here and play word games with you and ruin the thread. You want to debate me on this then we can go to the Politics section or you can PM me. The Feds fund ALL immigration programs. Where do think they get that money from? Don't play coy. You can't be that stupid. I live in a sanctuary city. The ILLEGALS are sucking us dry.
