You're doing good from IN. Texas isn't an area know anything about. $3 a mile always seems to be the glass ceiling from around here on reefer. Sometimes that will cover it sometimes not.

Seriously though. I mean she's like 1.20 a mile low if she calls a bunch of FL people... But if she was good at her job she wouldn't be calling out on garbage freight. If she's lucky she covers one like that (that actually picks up) every 2-3 DAYS of calling out 8-10 hours a day. If she (we're being kind here) makes 500 dollars on that load in brokerage and she makes 60% she's making 100 bucks a day.

The really hilarious thing about this is that this is a terrific time to be cold calling for new customers. If she was good at sales her time would be worth at least 100 an hour when cold calling... Really says something about how much cold calling sucks doesn't it? She'd rather call you and get soul crushed all day for a hundred bucks a day (could be 50 if she works for big logistics!) than go look for new customers.

Hey man, don't judge her inability to realize that with capacity down, customers are gonna be looking for new options.... seriously, man. Bless that woman and those like her. They make it easier to retain good customers, and to find new ones.

I'm pretty sure that's 7% of the gross. Also pretty sure they only get paid that way on loads where they use a landstar truck.

Is it back to normal? I was trying to book some flatbed loads and they're not even wanting to come close to the 90 day average on most of them.
