Rates have been dropping.

Well I made $3k in 3 days but that was when I had to DH 130 miles. My goal was $571/day to gross $4k in a week and no home time lol.

Nothing is more important to me then my kids and family.. If there is a happy median I will always find it and if revenue drops because of it I'll live with that.. They want us to work harder to offset the drop in rates.. Nah I'm not I just found a number I can live with weekly and that's my goal until I get my title or leave which ever comes first.. I'll leave the high rev for you super truckers.. Less stressful that way

 

Very much in agreement with this. I absolutely refuse to run my truck into the ground with gobs of extra miles to make up for lower rates. I only need X amount, and anything above that is gravy, so I'll just wait it out.

 

10-4, I was the same way with my family, I was home every night. But now the kids are gone, I'm debt free, wife on the truck, no need to go home....just saving $$$ to pay cash for my new house and then I'm out before speed limiters totally kill the last bit of freedom this job has.

 

Oh yea in the case I'd only go home for holidays lol. That's semi retirement

 

Did you expect anything different? This had been my feeling since I heard they were pursuing the IPO. Glad I'm not going to lease another truck from SFI now. If I don't get the cheap used truck I'm looking at them I will hang it up & go back to driving someone else's.

 

No I knew what would happen I believe I even posted what would happen then I was called a whiner.

I might even know what's to come but I'll be quiet for now on.

I'm seeing .20-.30 drop in rates across the board on loads just from a couple months ago
