This is true but there are many white people who live in the ghetto. I used to be one of them. Though the trend does seem to be, that, poor neighborhoods occupied mostly by minorities are called ghettos. While poor neighborhoods occupied mostly by white people are called trailer parks.

I have lived in substandard housing within the inner cities while being financially disadvantaged.
I have also lived in mobile homes in rural areas while having a negative cash flow income.
I currently live in a nice place with little money that I am soon to give up in order to pursue a stabler and more financially strong career within the Commodities Transportation Industry to allow myself the hope of a better future.



And while all of the statements above are true they are also said in jest!

I'm not insulting anyone but by saying you think strictly of any race because of a term which refers to a neighborhood not people says you're racist by your own admission that you assume ghetto means black people.

I don't assume any race is defined by the neighborhood.

I was raised in the Robin Hood neighborhood in Norfolk Va. It was a mixture of all races that were poor and as kids it was just the hood short for neighborhood.

It was a ghetto and we knew it but to us it was because we ALL were poor but we wasn't all 1 race.

Life is funny because it's all relative to your perspective based on your life experiences.

I grew up in the "ghetto" as some say but I'm not black and I don't think black when I hear ghetto.

If we let people divide us with words then there's no way we can ever truly be free.
