The work is hell finding ''great'' rates.I sit on the #### computer sometimes 8 hours then have to run the #### freight too...Landstar is alot of 100+ hours a week and more..

Well i got some luck.I found a load leaving NEW YORK out West for 2.66 a mile 19,000 lbs and one coming back at 2.50 a mile 10,000 lbs....The catch is this.I will be off for 2 weeks and 2 days before this round begins..

So is that what's paid to the truck, or is that before LS takes their cut? What's the rate work out to using practical miles including empty miles? Just curious.

    2.66 x 65% = 1.72.999

    2.50 x 65% = 1.62555

I give Landstar 35% to run under thier AUTH..If i had my own trailer like i used to it would be 28% back to Landstar. But if i had my ''own'' trailer i would not have been able to do this load. They are drop and hook..

I really don't ''whine''.I just try to put the ''real'' numbers out there and people get bent out of shape when the ''real'' numbers are out there...And mind you, this does not include my 250 mile deadhead to get to these loads and the LANDSTAR 12% cut on there miles...Add that into the mix and these rates go down.

maybe you need my phone number ---- or there must have been something really bad for everyone to turn down 700 bucks for a 16 mile run

Wrong! Many of these runs are 30-90 miles. The most I've seen thus far is 220 paying $900 + NY Arbitrary.
