I think your question needs to read
What will brand new owners who have no idea do?
Many who have been around for awhile aren’t going to be affected like some others

Sure. Rates may change. Availability may change but it’ll go like this
Those who took the good and the bad when it was easy to take just the good and didn’t give back previously booked loads to grab that better load or who job hopped weekly will now be the ones that get the calls on better loads

I get loads that are still paying better rates but I never stuck a booked load on an agent when something better popped up
When an agent needs a truck and it’s busy then any truck will do
When it slows then he now has a choice

    Yea a reputation can help.

Someday when I am done with this I will look back and know that I never ever not once screwed anyone over in any way.

I was exactly where I was supposed to be exactly when I was supposed to be for the exact price I quoted.

I never ever even considered tearing up a signed ratecon if something better came along....and I had many opportunities and even was flat out asked by a few brokerages over the years! LOL.

I have lost my #### on a couple of people over the years though! Sometimes rightfully so.....sometimes not. I apologize when I am able. LOL.

I have become super good at apologizing in my life. Wife, 2 kids, 4 dogs, 2 biz....lolololol

Are those the ones who lost their trucks through absolutely no fault of their own? The ones who did everything right but were conspired against by the higher-ups? The ones who will complain constantly about being a victim of circumstance? The ones who burned enough shippers and customers with bad service and a bad attitude that everybody recognizes their name but won't take their calls?
The ones who asked their questions here, got excellent advice, and then ignored that advice and did exactly what everyone warned them against?
Those the people we're talking about here?

You gonna make that a rubber stamp and put it on every new thread from them folks lol

Tell you what, “I used to have a truck” is a pretty good way to get me to giddy on up the #### outta wherever I am most of the time.

I think we'll be hearing that same old song for a while. They don't have to say much before it becomes evident that they were doomed to start with.

Some O/Os will survive, some will not. It was always like that... remember 02-03, 07-08, 12-13... just keep your payments low and use your brain when booking loads...

i did a little research and i have my findings. Who bought new trucks at $200-250k ?
Mostly new guys, mostly new immigrants who some how got EIDL and cash from overseas . They mostly run by overseas operated dispatch companies.
they are leaving market now. I see many of these trucks posted for sale now on FB groups...
BTW SBA already started sending invoices for EIDL... first payment date is 1Jan 2023
